2011 just got a lot brighter thanks to thousands of mini lightsabers soon to be all-aglow in the new STAR WARSTM area in Miniland. Miniland has always been my favorite place inside LEGOLAND® California, though I think the wonder of the intricately detailed mini-cities is lost on many young kids. But now, kids of all ages, including my husband, will not want to miss this area of the Park. Beginning in March 2011, seven various live action scenes from all six STAR WARS movies and from the animated series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARSTM will be erected just next to the Model Shop in Miniland.
Turning the beloved STAR WARS characters that have been the Force in our hearts for the past four decades into LEGO minifigures is a perfect way to honor them. And now parents will be able to expose their younger kids to the likes of Ewoks and Rebels from a land far, far away, even before actually sitting down and watching all the films. My biggest question at this point is how close the Han Solo mini-figure will resemble Harrison Ford. What STAR WARS scene are you most looking forward to seeing re-created in LEGO bricks?
Looking forward to seeing y’all this Spring Break at the opening of STAR WARS Miniland. I’ll be the first in line to have my photo taken with the life size Chewbaca.
